every time someone dies of a heart related disease, I'm there. can't help it. andy griffith was 86 yrs old. my husband is 78 and in great health. he will not leave at such an early age. yes the funny thing is when you are over 50 certain ages are not "that old" per se. so yes as some said he was just old and that kind of stings until i realized it is probably some 20 something making the remark.
here i am in georgia dying from heart disease. you can understand hopefully that one of my past-times is checking on those that die from such disease is understandable.
it is not only the elderly dying of heart disease. the obits are full of individuals who have managed to live a long and hopefully happy life. over the years it has been shared with me or through my own experience it has been said "i am old and i have earned the right to be cranky." one of the most offensive remarks to anyone of us who have looked forward to the golden years and happiness that goes with us.
please just take a moment now and close your eyes (after reading this first). breath deeply, in and out, now look inside yourself, now smile. smile at some warm memory from your childhood. smile at something you are looking forward to. just smile because life is good and you are alive.
how to die in georgia
living with the knowledge of my limited time. if we must die, then let's talk about it.

how to die in georgia
for my first entry I am going to keep it short. how to die in georgia? well if you must die, as I must, then it may help to know that you are not going through this alone. there are many of us who are dying and trying to find our way in the most profound event of our lives. there are no manuals and not many books written from personal day to day accounts on this process and it is a process.
so let's get on with this. in future notes I will give some statistics and general medical information. my greatest hope for this blog is to connect with others who are going through this or if you have a family member with a terminal illness. of course I welcome with open arms anyone who wants to join me on this journey.
